A former security guard, Benjamin Deshon Provo, has filed a lawsuit against Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, alleging discriminatory behavior towards Black employees. Provo claims that Ye gave preferential treatment to White employees, frequently berated Black staff, and even demanded Provo to cut his dreadlocks, which he wore as part of his Muslim faith.

Provo worked at Ye's private school, Donda Academy, and his Yeezy brand warehouse. He also provided security at Sunday Service events. The lawsuit states that Ye instructed employees to dispose of books related to prominent Black figures and put them in dangerous situations by confronting paparazzi.

Provo noticed a stark difference in how Ye treated Black employees compared to non-Black colleagues. He was allegedly paid less without reason and faced demeaning behavior from Ye. When Provo raised concerns about compensation, he was told not to discuss money with Ye.

Furthermore, Ye reportedly demanded that Provo and others shave their heads, despite Provo wearing dreadlocks for religious reasons. This latest complaint adds to a previous allegation of discrimination and harassment within Ye's organizations.

The lawsuit filed by Benjamin Deshon Provo sheds light on the alleged discriminatory practices within Ye's businesses. The accusations of unfair treatment towards Black employees raise concerns about workplace equality and respect. As the legal proceedings unfold, the spotlight remains on Ye's conduct and the treatment of his staff.
