Jack Black hints at playing Steve in Minecraft movie

Jack Black has practically confirmed his role as Steve in the upcoming Minecraft movie through a recent Instagram video. The actor showcased a trailer labeled 'Steve' from the movie, hinting at his involvement in the project. This revelation follows earlier reports suggesting Black's portrayal of the iconic video game character. Joining him in the cast are Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, Sebastian Eugene Hansen, Jason Momoa, and Jennifer Coolidge.

While Brooks' role remains uncertain, she hinted at a potential collaboration with Black for the movie's theme song. Black, known for his voice work in video game adaptations, previously voiced Bowser in The Super Mario Bros. Movie and is set to portray Claptrap in the upcoming Borderlands film. Fans eagerly anticipating Black's performance as Steve will have to wait until the Minecraft movie's release on April 4, 2025.
