The upcoming Trooping the Colour ceremony, scheduled for June 15 in London, will see King Charles taking part alongside Queen Camilla. This event, which marks the Sovereign's birthday, is a long-standing tradition that showcases a grand display of military pageantry.

Despite initial uncertainties due to King Charles' age and ongoing cancer treatment, it has been confirmed that he will inspect the troops from a carriage this year. This decision, based on medical advice, ensures his participation in the ceremony while prioritizing his health.

Princess Kate, also undergoing cancer treatment, will not be present at the Colonel's Review on June 8, with Lieutenant General James Bucknall standing in for her. The Trooping the Colour celebration will proceed as scheduled, featuring a balcony appearance by the royals and a spectacular flypast by the RAF.

While non-working members of the Royal Family will not be part of the balcony gathering this year, the event will continue its tradition of showcasing intricate military drills with soldiers, horses, and musicians creating a captivating spectacle.

With over 260 years of history, Trooping the Colour remains a significant part of the monarchy's official birthday celebrations, highlighting the unity and tradition of the Royal Family.
