Today marks the fourth death anniversary of the legendary actor and television pioneer, Tariq Aziz, in Lahore. Born on April 28, 1936, in Jalandhar, India, Tariq Aziz later moved to Pakistan with his family. In 1974, he introduced the popular quiz show 'Nelaam Ghar,' which eventually transformed into the widely acclaimed 'Tariq Aziz Show.' Not only known for his television presence, but Tariq Aziz also made a mark in politics, serving as a member of the National Assembly from 1997 to 1999. Additionally, his Punjabi poetry collection 'Hamzad Da Dukh,' published in 1992, showcased his diverse talents.

Tariq Aziz gained immense popularity through his iconic program 'Neelam Ghar,' which debuted in 1974 and later rebranded as the 'Tariq Aziz Show,' running successfully for over four decades. Alongside his television career, he ventured into the film industry, starring in notable movies like 'Chiragh Kahan Roshni Kahan,' 'Salgirah,' 'Qasam Us Waqt Ki,' 'Katari,' 'Haar Gaya Insan,' and 'Insaniyat.'
