The All Parties Hurriyat Conference pays tribute to Kashmiri leaders and victims, emphasizing peaceful resolution and condemning Indian authorities' actions. Observances in IIOJK and AJK commemorate the martyrs' anniversaries, highlighting the ongoing struggle for freedom and self-determination in Kashmir.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) recently paid tribute to key Kashmiri leaders Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq, Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone, and the victims of the Hawal massacre on the anniversary of their martyrdom in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq was tragically assassinated at his residence in Srinagar on May 21, 1990, followed by the heartbreaking killing of seventy mourners during his funeral procession in Hawal by Indian troops. Twelve years later, Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone faced a similar fate in 2002 after addressing a gathering in Srinagar.

The APHC spokesperson highlighted the leaders' dedication to seeking a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir conflict in alignment with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people for regional peace and prosperity. He strongly condemned the use of force and coercion by authorities, emphasizing that such actions only worsen the conflict. The spokesperson underscored the enduring hardships and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people in their pursuit of a resolution, stressing the importance of respecting their sentiments.

Criticizing the Indian authorities for suppressing any form of expression by the Kashmiri people and leadership through oppressive tactics, the spokesperson emphasized the significance of continuing the struggle for freedom as a tribute to the martyrs. He asserted that the repressive measures of the BJP-led Indian government cannot suppress the Kashmiri people's desire for independence.

Observances are scheduled in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) in Pakistan to commemorate the martyrdom anniversaries of Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq, Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone, and the victims of the Hawal massacre. The APHC-AJK Convenor reaffirmed the unwavering commitment to the cause of Kashmiri martyrs, pledging to continue the freedom movement until achieving complete success.

The homage paid by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference to the Kashmiri martyrs serves as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made in the struggle for peace and freedom in the region. As the Kashmiri people continue to endure challenges and oppression, their resilience and determination remain unwavering. It is imperative for the international community to recognize and support their aspirations for self-determination and a peaceful resolution to the longstanding Kashmir conflict.
