Deputy Director Wasif Khan Leads KPFS&HFA Inspections

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority (KPFS&HFA) under the leadership of Deputy Director Wasif Khan is steadfast in its mission to safeguard the well-being of the people of Dera Ismail Khan by ensuring the safety and quality of food products. Recently, the Authority conducted thorough inspections across the city and Tehsil Prova to enforce food safety regulations.

During these inspections, the teams from KPFS&HFA visited various establishments including bakeries, fast food outlets, general stores, and milk shops to assess compliance with the set standards. Shopkeepers found lacking in meeting the requirements were promptly issued improvement notices and were sternly advised to maintain cleanliness and adhere to the regulations. It was made explicitly clear that strict legal actions would be taken against any offenders as per the laws in place.

In a proactive move, the Food Authority's team also visited a wheat procurement center to evaluate the quality of wheat in collaboration with officials from the Food Department. This proactive approach not only ensures food safety but also demonstrates the Authority's dedication to upholding high standards in the food industry.
