Engineer Shah Muhammad Bajkani leads crackdown on electricity theft

In a recent operation conducted by Superintendent Engineer Shah Muhammad Bajkani of SEPCO Circle Larkana, a significant breakthrough was made in curbing electricity theft in the Rehmatpure area. The operation, carried out with the support of SEPCO staff and local police, resulted in the seizure of 2 transformers from ice factories and the apprehension of 6 workers involved in the illegal activity.

As a consequence of this operation, Line Superintendent Irshad Ahmed has been suspended pending further investigation. Engineer Shah Muhammad Bajkani disclosed that the ice factories in the Rahmatpur police station area had been illicitly utilizing electricity by hiding transformers. An attempt to acquire a connection under a woman's name was also thwarted during the operation. The theft at these ice factories was estimated to be causing a monthly loss of Rs. 35 lakh, prompting the initiation of a departmental inquiry.

Despite facing threats, the team led by Engineer Shah Muhammad Bajkani remains resolute in their efforts to combat electricity theft. They have successfully confiscated 7 transformers and disconnected 2 in the Empire area and Chandka sub-divisions. Engineer Shah Muhammad Bajkani reiterated their dedication to the national campaign against electricity theft, emphasizing that they will not yield to intimidation and will pursue legal action against offenders.
