FDA Takes Strong Action Against Illegal Commercialization in Faisalabad

The issue of illegal commercialization in residential areas has become a pressing concern in many cities, including Faisalabad. The unauthorized conversion of residential properties into commercial spaces not only disrupts the harmony of neighborhoods but also poses significant challenges to urban planning and development. In response to this growing problem, the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has taken decisive action to curb these violations.

Following the directives of Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry, the authority has intensified its enforcement efforts against illegal commercialization. Recently, the FDA enforcement team conducted a thorough inspection of various residential colonies and discovered numerous instances where residential plots were being used for business purposes without the necessary approvals. This unauthorized activity was particularly noted in areas such as Millat Town, Allama Iqbal Colony, and Gulberg.

Under the supervision of Director Town Planning Asma Mohsin and led by State Officer Anib Aslam Randhawa, the enforcement team sealed 16 commercial properties that were found to be in violation of the regulations. The sealed plots included Millat Town Plot No. 238 and 239, Allama Iqbal Colony G Block Quarter No. 443, 374, 462, 463, 26, 13, 448, as well as several plots in Gulberg A Block and C Block. The owners of these properties have been instructed to seek formal approval for converting their residential plots into commercial ones and to pay the required fees immediately.

The FDA has made it clear that failure to comply with these regulations could lead to criminal charges against the violators. This stern warning serves as a reminder that the authority is committed to maintaining the integrity of residential areas and ensuring that urban development follows the established rules and regulations.
