The Government of Pakistan announces Hajj 2025 application dates and new payment plans to facilitate pilgrims.
ISLAMABAD – The sacred journey of Hajj holds immense significance for Muslims around the globe, and for those planning to embark on this spiritual pilgrimage in 2025, important news has emerged. The Government of Pakistan is set to open applications for its state-run Hajj scheme in mid-November. This announcement comes from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, which has outlined a new policy aimed at facilitating the upcoming Hajj season.
According to reports, the government has allocated a total of over 179,000 slots for pilgrims wishing to perform Hajj in 2025. Among these, 5,000 slots are specifically designated for individuals participating through a sponsorship program. The remaining pilgrims will be accommodated under the regular Hajj scheme. This structured approach aims to ensure that as many faithful as possible can partake in this important religious obligation.
Religious Affairs Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain is anticipated to officially announce the comprehensive details of the Hajj policy in the coming days. This announcement is eagerly awaited by many, as it will provide clarity on the application process and other essential information.
In a bid to ease the financial burden on pilgrims, the government is considering an installment-based payment plan for the Hajj package. Instead of requiring a lump-sum payment, the fees will be divided into three manageable installments. The first installment, amounting to Rs2 lac, will be due at the time of application. Following the Hajj lottery, pilgrims will be required to pay a second installment of Rs4 lac, with the remaining balance expected to be settled by the second week of February.
This new payment structure is a welcome change, as it allows more individuals to fulfill their religious duties without facing overwhelming financial pressure. The government’s initiative reflects a commitment to making Hajj accessible to a broader segment of the population.
As the application period approaches, it is crucial for prospective pilgrims to stay informed and prepared. This journey is not just a physical one; it is a profound spiritual experience that can transform lives. Therefore, ensuring that all necessary arrangements are in place will help make the pilgrimage as smooth and fulfilling as possible. With the right planning and understanding of the process, many will have the opportunity to answer the call of Hajj in 2025.
