The government has organized an All Parties Conference (APC) to address concerns related to Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, a crucial initiative aimed at combating terrorism and extremism in Pakistan. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan, representing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has confirmed PTI's participation in the APC as observers, highlighting the decision's alignment with Pakistan's best interests. Despite expressing distrust in the chief justice during a media interaction at Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail, Khan emphasized the importance of PTI's presence at the conference. Additionally, PTI and other opposition parties have raised concerns about the operation's framework and the need for transparent consultation among all political entities.

While opposition parties like Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) have opposed Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, government coalition partners have underscored the operation's urgency and the necessity for immediate action. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has pledged PPP's full participation in the APC, emphasizing the party's commitment to permanently eliminating terrorism. The conference also aims to address issues related to Balochistan's situation and law and order, with the final scheduling dependent on the Prime Minister's return.
