The government's All Parties Conference on Operation Azm-e-Istehkam in Pakistan aims to foster political consensus among parties to combat terrorism and extremism, with key figures like Imran Khan and Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari participating.

The government has organized an All Parties Conference (APC) to address concerns related to Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, a crucial initiative aimed at combating terrorism and extremism in Pakistan. The conference seeks to foster political consensus among coalition and opposition parties to ensure unified support for the operation's objectives. Operation Azm-e-Istehkam was approved by the Apex Committee of National Action Plan, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, with the goal of eradicating terrorism across the nation. The operation has garnered approval from various stakeholders, including provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan, representing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has confirmed PTI's participation in the APC as observers, highlighting the decision's alignment with Pakistan's best interests. Despite expressing distrust in the chief justice during a media interaction at Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail, Khan emphasized the importance of PTI's presence at the conference. Additionally, PTI and other opposition parties have raised concerns about the operation's framework and the need for transparent consultation among all political entities.

While opposition parties like Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) have opposed Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, government coalition partners have underscored the operation's urgency and the necessity for immediate action. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has pledged PPP's full participation in the APC, emphasizing the party's commitment to permanently eliminating terrorism. The conference also aims to address issues related to Balochistan's situation and law and order, with the final scheduling dependent on the Prime Minister's return.

The upcoming All Parties Conference on Operation Azm-e-Istehkam signifies a critical juncture in Pakistan's efforts to combat terrorism and extremism. By fostering dialogue and collaboration among political parties, the government aims to strengthen national security and promote a unified approach towards achieving lasting peace and stability. The participation of key political figures like Imran Khan and Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari underscores the significance of this initiative in shaping Pakistan's future trajectory.
