Mirpur Hospital Leads 'Give Way to Ambulance' Walk

A grand walk named 'Give Way to Ambulance' was organized by Mirpur Divisional Teaching Hospital to raise awareness about the importance of clearing the way for ambulances promptly. The event aimed to highlight the significance of facilitating ambulances for timely arrival and ensuring patient safety.

The walk saw the participation of ambulances, medical professionals, civil society members, social workers, and volunteers from NGOs. Led by Medical Superintendent Dr. Sardar Aamar Aziz Khan, the event included prominent figures like ADC (G) Mirpur Yasir Mahmood, Dr. Shahzad Ghazanfar, Dr. Majid Altaf, and Dr. Maria Zulfiqar.

Participants of the walk carried placards with supportive slogans, emphasizing the need for vehicles to move left and drive slowly to allow ambulances and emergency vehicles to pass through the right lane smoothly. Speakers highlighted the importance of all drivers being aware of facilitating ambulances in congested traffic.

It was advised that vehicles in the left lane should slow down to create space for the right-lane vehicles, ensuring a clear path for ambulances. The speakers stressed the significance of a standardized message to avoid confusion and enable emergency vehicles to reach their destinations swiftly for rescue operations.

Dr. Aamar Aziz underscored the role of individuals in becoming 'ambulance rescuers' by undergoing training to assist ambulances stuck in traffic. By knowing how to clear the way for ambulances, lives can be saved effectively.
