The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OP&HRD) has announced the establishment of a new branch of Pakistan International School in Muscat, Oman. This initiative aims to provide quality education to the children of Pakistani expatriates living in the region. The decision reflects the government's commitment to supporting its citizens abroad and ensuring that their children receive a solid educational foundation.

Overseas Pakistanis are often referred to as the backbone of the national economy. Their contributions, particularly through remittances, play a crucial role in the financial stability of Pakistan. With the current government's favorable policies, the flow of remittances has been increasing steadily, which helps alleviate some of the economic pressures faced by families back home.

During a recent visit to Oman, the Federal Minister discussed various ways to facilitate Pakistani workers in the country. This visit resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing the support provided to these workers. The government recognizes the hard work and dedication of the Pakistani workforce, which has earned them a positive reputation globally.

In addition to establishing the new school, the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis is also upgrading technical training centers in Pakistan. These centers will be modernized to meet the certification requirements of different countries, ensuring that Pakistani workers are well-prepared for international job markets. Furthermore, a compulsory pre-departure orientation program is set to be introduced for all workers heading abroad. This program will educate them about labor laws, workers' rights, cultural sensitivities, and available support mechanisms in case of emergencies.

The opening of a new branch of Pakistan International School in Muscat is a significant step towards supporting the educational needs of Pakistani expatriates. It not only highlights the government's commitment to its citizens abroad but also emphasizes the importance of education in empowering future generations. As the Pakistani workforce continues to thrive globally, initiatives like these will undoubtedly contribute to the prosperity and development of the nation.
