The Pakistan Army Promotion Board recently approved the promotion of 22 brigadiers to the prestigious rank of major general. This decision was taken during a board meeting led by Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir at General Headquarters. The promotion signifies a significant milestone in the careers of these officers, recognizing their dedication and service to the nation.

Among the newly promoted officers, nine come from diverse branches such as Armed Corps, Artillery, Air Defence, Aviation, Corps of Military Intelligence, and EME. The remaining 13 officers belong to the Infantry branch, showcasing the Army's commitment to recognizing talent across various specialties.

Some of the notable individuals who have been promoted to the rank of major general include Adnan Sultan, Usman Kiyani, Imran Sartaj, Yahya Usman, Usman Iqbal, Jolian, Saeed Anwar, Arfan Ramay, and Attiq. The Infantry branch also witnessed promotions for officers like Mehr Omer, Imtiaz Gillani, Ahmed Jawad, Tajdeed, Bilal Sarfraz, Khurram Shabbir, Faisal Saud, Abid Mazhar, Shehryar Muneer, Shehryar Qureshi, Adil Iftikhar, Amjad Aziz, and Zulfikar Shaheen.
