Islamabad Police arrest 22 criminals in a major operation, seizing drugs and weapons to enhance community safety.

In a significant operation aimed at curbing crime in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), police have successfully apprehended 22 individuals linked to various criminal activities. This crackdown is part of a broader initiative to combat drug peddling and the possession of illegal weapons, which have become pressing issues in the region.

The Islamabad Capital Territory Police, under the directives of Inspector General Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, have ramped up their efforts to eliminate crime from the city. The police teams from various stations, including Karachi Company, Sumbal, Tarnol, Sangjani, Sabzi Mandi, Khanna, and Shahzad Town, have been actively involved in this operation. They have taken decisive legal action against those engaged in drug trafficking and illegal arms possession.

During this operation, law enforcement officials recovered a substantial amount of illegal substances and weapons. Specifically, they seized 2390 grams of hashish, 30 liters of liquor, 1575 grams of heroin, and seven pistols along with ammunition. Additionally, eight absconders were apprehended within the last 24 hours, further demonstrating the police's commitment to maintaining law and order.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Syed Ali Raza emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety of citizens' lives and property in the federal capital. He stated that the police are dedicated to protecting the community and will not allow any criminal elements to disrupt the peace. The protection of citizens' lives, property, and dignity remains the top priority for the Islamabad Police.

In light of these developments, it is crucial for citizens to remain vigilant and proactive in reporting any suspicious activities. Community cooperation with law enforcement is vital in the fight against crime. By working together, the police and the public can help create a safer environment for everyone.

As Islamabad continues to grow, the challenges of crime and safety will persist. However, with the ongoing efforts of the ICT Police and the support of the community, there is hope for a crime-free city. It is a collective responsibility to ensure that our neighborhoods remain safe and secure for all residents.
