Punjab Governor chairs a meeting to review progress at PMAS Arid Agriculture University's Attock campus, emphasizing the importance of higher education in national development and the need for educational accessibility in remote areas.

The progress on the Attock campus of Pir Meher Ali Shah (PMAS) Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi was recently reviewed in a meeting chaired by Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan at the Governors House. The Governor highlighted the significance of higher education in national development and emphasized the need to extend higher education facilities to remote areas. He instructed for the prompt completion of the Attock campus to ensure enhanced educational opportunities for the local community.

During the meeting, a decision was made to establish a committee comprising officials from the agriculture department. This committee is tasked with visiting the campus site and presenting a report within 10 days to accelerate the completion process. Key attendees at the meeting included Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Naeem, Special Secretary of the Agriculture Department Dr. Shahanshah Faisal Azeem, Additional Secretary of Agriculture Waqas Rashid, Principal Secretary to the Governor Captain (retd) Saqib Zafar, Special Secretary of Academics Abdul Rehman Shah, Additional Secretary of Universities Tariq Mehmood, and Member of the National Assembly from Attock Sheikh Aftab Ahmed.
