Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique announces increased security measures for Muharram-ul-Haram, including free food stalls and a dedicated control room. Notable Shia community members support the government's proactive approach to ensure a safe and peaceful observance of this sacred month.

Muharram-ul-Haram, a significant month in the Islamic calendar, is marked by solemn processions and gatherings to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain. In light of this, Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique has announced enhanced security measures to ensure the safety of participants during this sacred period.

During a recent visit to Darbar Bibi Pak Daman, Minister Rafique reiterated the government's commitment to safeguarding mourners. The Punjab government will be setting up stalls offering free food ('Niaz') and drinking water ('Sabeel') along the routes of Muharram processions. Furthermore, a dedicated control room will be established within the Home Department to closely monitor all procession routes and oversee security operations.

Minister Rafique stressed the religious duty of all individuals to contribute to the successful arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram. He received a briefing on security preparations from SP Civil Lines Police Abdul Hanan and Assistant Commissioner City Dr. Anam Fatima during his visit. The minister also inspected the ongoing expansion project at Darbar Bibi Pak Daman.

Notable members of the Shia community, including Patron Supreme Shia Peace Committee Darbar Bibi Pak Daman Danish Naqvi, Chairman Agha Faraz, President Hasnain Kazmi, Vice Chairman Syed Ali Akhtar Naqvi, and General Secretary Mubarak Hussain, were present during the minister's visit.

The Punjab government's proactive approach to enhancing security measures for Muharram-ul-Haram reflects its dedication to ensuring a safe and peaceful environment for all participants.
