Punjab PDWP Approves Rs4.5 Billion Development Schemes

In a significant move towards enhancing infrastructure and promoting sustainable development, the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of Punjab has approved two major development schemes worth a total of Rs 4.5 billion. This decision, made during the PDWP's 27th meeting for the financial year 2024-25, reflects the government's commitment to improving road transport and irrigation systems across the province.

The first scheme, which has been allocated Rs 3.534 billion, focuses on the induction of eco-friendly business practices in various cities within Punjab. The meeting was chaired by Chairman of the Planning and Development (P&D) Board, Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan, and included participation from Chief Economist Masoud Anwar, members of the P&D Board, and other senior officials.
