Rescue 1122 Recovers Missing Girl's Body

On the 17th of April, 2024, the tragic incident of a boat sinking at Kund Park during Eid-ul-Fitr resulted in the disappearance of a young girl. The search and rescue efforts led by the dedicated teams of Rescue 1122 have finally come to a somber conclusion with the recovery of the girl's body near Kala Bagh, Kohat.

The initial joy of Eid celebrations turned into sorrow as a boat carrying 15 individuals capsized, leading to a frantic rescue operation where 10 people were successfully saved. Despite the valiant efforts of the rescue teams, one young girl remained missing, adding to the heart-wrenching nature of the incident. The tragedy extended beyond Nowshera, with two additional drownings reported in Kohat on the same day, highlighting the dangers associated with water activities.

The collaborative efforts of Rescue 1122 teams from Nowshera, Mardan, and Swabi exemplified unwavering dedication as they scoured the waters of Kund Park in search of any remaining victims. The deployment of diving teams at various tourist spots, under the directive of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, further underscored the commitment to ensuring public safety.

After days of relentless search operations, the body of the missing girl was finally located in Kala Bagh, Kohat, bringing a sense of closure to the tragic events that unfolded at Kund Park.
