Pakistani exporters, led by Shoaib Ahmed Basra, achieve milestone in Kinnow fruit export, demonstrating resilience and efficiency in meeting global demand.

The Pakistani business community has achieved a significant milestone in the export of Kinnow fruit during the 2024 season. Former president of the Sargodha Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Shoaib Ahmed Basra, highlighted that a total of 321,490 tons of Kinnow were exported worldwide, resulting in earnings of 160 million dollars.

Despite facing challenges such as adverse weather conditions, the business community managed to export 158,355 tons of Kinnow through sea ports and 163,135 tons via roads to various countries. Basra mentioned that the Ministry of Commerce had set an ambitious target of exporting 400,000 tons of Kinnow for the season.

This success underscores the resilience and determination of Pakistani exporters in the face of obstacles. The demand for Kinnow remains strong globally, and Pakistan's business community has demonstrated its ability to meet this demand efficiently.
