200 candidates in Khyber receive skill training certificates, promoting economic independence and community development through essential skills.
Khyber, a region known for its rich cultural heritage and resilient communities, recently witnessed a significant event aimed at empowering its local population. Under the Rights-Based Community Stabilization Project, a ceremony was held in Shahkas, tehsil Jamrud, where certificates and tool kits were awarded to 200 candidates. This initiative, organized by Best Pak in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and various local departments, marks a crucial step towards enhancing the skills and livelihoods of the residents.
The training program was designed to cater to both men and women, with an equal distribution of 100 males and 100 females participating. The candidates received training in essential skills such as tailoring, solar power installation, and mobile repair. These skills are not only relevant in today’s job market but also empower individuals to become self-sufficient and contribute positively to their communities.
Brigadier Muhammad Shoab graced the occasion as the chief guest, accompanied by notable figures including Wing Commander Col Temour and Best Pak’s Managing Director Ihsanullah. The presence of local councilors, trainees, and community members added to the significance of the event. During his address, Brigadier Shoab emphasized the importance of such training programs, stating that they equip individuals with the necessary skills for gainful employment, thereby ensuring respect and dignity in their livelihoods.
In addition to technical training, the program also focused on the mental well-being of the trainees. Best Pak’s Managing Director Ihsanullah and Program Manager Nawabzada highlighted that psychological counseling was provided to support the participants throughout their learning journey. This holistic approach not only enhances technical skills but also fosters a supportive environment for personal growth.
The ceremony concluded with the much-anticipated distribution of certificates and tool kits to the 200 trainees from Bara and Jamrud. This moment was not just a celebration of their hard work but also a stepping stone towards a brighter future for these individuals and their families.
Initiatives like the Rights-Based Community Stabilization Project play a vital role in transforming lives in Khyber. By providing essential skills and support, they pave the way for economic independence and community development. As these newly trained individuals step into the workforce, they carry with them not just skills, but also hope for a better tomorrow. It is through such efforts that we can envision a future where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to society.
