A recent thunderstorm in Khairaywala village led to the loss of 36 goats, while three police officials were suspended for Iranian diesel smuggling. These events emphasize the importance of legal and ethical standards in farming and law enforcement.

In a recent thunderstorm that struck the village of Khairaywala near Chowk Sarwar Shaheed, a devastating event unfolded as 36 goats belonging to cattle farmer Muhammad Sharif perished due to a lightning strike. The loss of these goats, valued at over Rs1.8 million, has left the local community in mourning.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, three police officials from Rangpur police station in Layyah district have been suspended on suspicion of involvement in the smuggling of Iranian diesel. The suspended officials, identified as ASI Mushtaq, driver Fayaz, and constable Saeed, were discovered to have accepted kickbacks for the illegal smuggling and subsequent sale of Iranian diesel within the district. DPO Husnain Haider took swift action by suspending the trio and launching further investigations under the PEEEDA Act of 1976.

These recent events in Khairaywala village and Layyah district highlight the importance of adhering to legal and ethical standards in both farming practices and law enforcement. The loss of the goats serves as a reminder of the unpredictable forces of nature, while the suspension of the police officials underscores the commitment to upholding justice and combating illegal activities. It is crucial for communities to come together in times of tragedy and for authorities to take decisive action against any form of misconduct, ensuring the well-being and safety of all individuals involved.
