On Thursday, a tragic bus accident near Quetta’s Brewery Roads Bypass area resulted in the loss of seven lives and left 19 others injured. According to officials, the bus was transporting passengers returning from a wedding when it suddenly fell into a ravine. The vehicle was traveling from Khilji Colony Bypass towards Baleli when one of its tyres burst, leading to the catastrophic fall. Among the deceased were three children and a woman, a heartbreaking reminder of the fragility of life.

Saddar Superintendent of Police (SP) Shaukat Mohmand confirmed the details of the accident, stating that immediate first aid was administered at the scene before the injured were transported to Bolan Medical Complex. The swift response of the local authorities was crucial in ensuring that those injured received timely medical attention.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti expressed his deep sorrow over the incident, stating that the “loss of precious human lives in the tragic accident is a cause of grief and sadness.” He has ordered a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident, emphasizing that any negligence on the part of officials would not be tolerated.
