PM's aide emphasizes the need for unity and dialogue to prioritize national interest over political agendas in Pakistan.
In the current political landscape of Pakistan, the need for unity and collaboration has never been more pressing. As the nation grapples with various challenges, the call for a "grand dialogue" has emerged as a crucial step towards finding solutions. Barrister Aqeel Malik, the Advisor to the Prime Minister on Law and Justice, emphasized this point during a recent interview with PTV news.
Malik highlighted that despite the shortcomings of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) party, the government remains open to engaging in meaningful discussions with the opposition. He pointed out that the government has made several attempts to initiate negotiations, including a proposal for a Charter of Economy, which aims to protect the national interest. However, he expressed disappointment that PTI's focus appears to be more on creating division rather than fostering constructive dialogue.
According to Malik, the government has consistently faced challenges in its efforts to promote political dialogue. He stated, "Whenever the government has made serious efforts to initiate political dialogue, PTI has consistently sabotaged those initiatives." This sentiment underscores the frustration felt by many who believe that political parties should prioritize the welfare of the country over their own agendas.
Malik reiterated that the national interest is the government's top priority. He remarked, "At the end of the day, better sense should prevail, and all our efforts must be focused on the welfare of the country and its people." This statement serves as a reminder that the survival and prosperity of Pakistan should always come first, transcending political rivalries.
The call for a "grand dialogue" is not just a political strategy; it is a necessary step towards ensuring the future of Pakistan. As citizens, it is essential to recognize that the foundation of politics lies within the nation itself. Without a strong and united Pakistan, political ambitions become meaningless. The time has come for all political factions to set aside their differences and work together for the greater good of the country and its people.
