The ICC Men's T20I rankings have seen some interesting changes as we head into the T20 World Cup 2024. Sri Lanka's Waninda Hasaranga and Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan are now jointly leading the all-rounder rankings, with Hasaranga making a significant leap to share the top spot with Hasan. This comes after Hasan's slight drop in points due to a below-par performance against Zimbabwe. Hasaranga currently holds a 10-point lead over Mohammad Nabi of Afghanistan, who sits in third place.
Zimbabwe's Sikandar Raza has also made a notable climb in the rankings, securing the fourth position following an impressive display against Bangladesh. South African captain Aiden Markram closely follows in fifth place. Pakistan's Imad Wasim has shown remarkable progress, moving up to joint 16th in the all-rounders' rankings and surging 24 places to tie for 52nd in the T20I bowling rankings after the series against Ireland.
Individual batting performances have also impacted the rankings, with Fakhar Zaman of Pakistan rising four spots to 57th in the ICC Men's T20I batting rankings due to his strong showings against Ireland. Ireland's Andrew Balbirnie has climbed six places to 53rd in the batting rankings, while Harry Tector has jumped 12 spots to 69th after an impressive performance against Pakistan.
On the bowling front, Taskin Ahmed of Bangladesh has moved up three places to 23rd, and Mustafizur Rahman has gained five spots to reach 25th in the T20I bowling rankings. Despite these changes, the overall bowling rankings have seen minimal shifts apart from these movements.
