Pakistan Cricket Board announces England Test Series schedule

The Pakistan Cricket Board has unveiled the schedule for the upcoming Pakistan Men’s Test Series against England set to take place in October 2024. The series will consist of three Tests, with matches scheduled in Multan, Karachi, and Rawalpindi. This series holds significance as it is part of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25.

England Men's team will be making their second visit to Pakistan in less than two years, following their 3-0 series victory in December 2022. The England and Wales Cricket Board's Chief Executive Officer has expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming tour, expecting exciting cricket encounters.

As part of their busy home international season 2024-25, Pakistan will also host Bangladesh for a two-match Test series in August, face West Indies in a three-match series in January, and play two away Tests against South Africa in December-January. These fixtures will all contribute towards their standing in the ICC World Test Championship.

Currently, Pakistan has played five Tests in series against Sri Lanka and Australia, winning two and losing three matches. This places them fifth on the points table with 22 points, with India leading the table followed by Australia, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka. The upcoming series against England will be crucial for Pakistan as they aim to secure a spot in the final scheduled at Lord’s in June 2025.
