Prince Abdulaziz leads Saudi delegation to SportAccord 2024

Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, Saudi Arabia’s sports minister, is spearheading a delegation to SportAccord 2024, a prominent gathering of international sports federations and key figures in the sports business realm. The delegation, which includes Prince Fahad bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed and Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Baeshen, aims to represent the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee at the event.

The theme of this year's SportAccord is 'The Power of Sport,' and it is set to take place in Birmingham, UK, until April 11. Over 1,500 participants from 100 countries will convene at the International Convention Centre to engage in networking and idea-sharing sessions focused on the intersection of sports and business.

Ugur Erdener, the president of SportAccord, emphasized the crucial role of sports in promoting global peace, underscoring its significance beyond mere competition. The event, dubbed as 'sport’s most important industry summit,' has garnered a positive response from the global sports community, with organizers expressing satisfaction at the level of participation.

Notable figures such as Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee, and Robin E. Mitchell, President of the Association of National Olympic Committees, are expected to make appearances during the conference, adding further prestige to the event.
