Apple responds to market challenges by offering discounts on iPhone 15 models through Alibaba's Tmall platform. The promotional sale aims to boost sales and regain market share amidst increasing competition.

Apple, a leading technology company, is currently facing challenges in various markets worldwide due to intense competition from rival brands. To address this, Apple has decided to reduce the prices of its flagship product, the iPhone 15. The company has introduced discounts of up to 20% on iPhone 15 models to stimulate sales.

Consumers can now avail of these discounted prices through Alibaba’s Tmall platform. For instance, the 256GB iPhone 15 Pro Max is now priced at $1,100, a significant reduction from its previous price. Similarly, the 128GB model of the iPhone 15 is over 20% cheaper, priced at 4,599 yuan compared to its previous price of 5,999 yuan. This promotional sale is set to run from May 20 to 28.

Despite the price adjustments, Apple's official online store in mainland China has maintained its regular prices. These price cuts reflect Apple's efforts to generate interest in its flagship product, responding to a decline in iPhone sales in China and other regions during the first quarter of the year.

In the same quarter, the market share of American smartphones in China decreased to 15.7%, down from 20.2% the previous year, primarily due to heightened competition in the market.

Apple's decision to lower iPhone 15 prices showcases its commitment to staying competitive in the global market. By offering discounts and promotions, Apple aims to attract more customers and regain market share. This move not only benefits consumers with more affordable options but also positions Apple strategically in the face of increasing competition.
