The collaboration between Huawei, China Unicom Guangdong, and Zengcheng District in hosting the Lychee Live Streaming Festival showcases the success of 5.5G technology in revolutionizing live streaming experiences and connectivity, promising a more dynamic and connected world.

In a groundbreaking collaboration in Guangzhou's Zengcheng District, Huawei, China Unicom Guangdong, and the Zengcheng Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau joined forces to host the Lychee Live Streaming Festival. The event, themed 'A 5G Boost for Lychees,' featured influencers and live streamers using a 5G live streaming service to showcase and sell lychees from different orchards. Notably, a 5.5G network trial was conducted during the festival, achieving remarkable uplink speeds exceeding 500Mbps, a first in China's rural areas.

China Unicom Guangdong unveiled its 5G live streaming service plan at the festival, designed to meet the demands of live streamers for high uplink bandwidth, network capacity, and high-definition videos. This service ensures a smooth and stable user experience by leveraging intelligent network elements and 5G slicing technologies.

The 5G networks developed by China Unicom Guangdong and Huawei offer improved quality of service for live streaming, supporting increased traffic capacity and significantly faster uplink speeds for standard users. These networks are built on Huawei's SmartCare integrated data platform, enabling rapid fault analysis and resolution to enhance the live streaming experience.

The 5G live streaming service was honored with the GSMA's Global Mobile Awards for 'Best Mobile Operator Service for Connected Consumers' at MWC Barcelona, highlighting its industry recognition. Since its launch in 2022, the service has been embraced by over 300,000 users across diverse sectors, including agriculture, tourism, clothing, and e-sports.

5.5G technology represents a significant leap beyond 5G, offering peak downlink speeds of 10 Gbps and uplink speeds of 1 Gbps, a tenfold increase in bandwidth. This advancement enables smoother streaming of higher-definition and interactive content, along with tailored experience assurances for different live streaming users.

Huawei's dedication to innovation in products and technologies aims to extend the benefits of 5G to a wider audience and support the commercial deployment of 5.5G. The transition to 5.5G is poised to transform network infrastructure, propel the live streaming economy, stimulate growth in rural areas and the agriculture industry, and hasten digitalization across various sectors.

The Lychee Live Streaming Festival in Guangzhou not only showcased the power of 5G technology in enhancing live streaming experiences but also demonstrated the potential of 5.5G to revolutionize connectivity and drive innovation across industries. As we embrace the future of advanced networks, the possibilities for seamless, high-quality live streaming and digital engagement continue to expand, promising a more connected and dynamic world for all.
