In a report published by Bleeping Computer, Zengo's Chief Technology Officer, Tel Berry, stated that his team responsibly disclosed these findings to Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp. However, the situation took a troubling turn when the team realized that this flaw had been exploited before, raising concerns about the effectiveness of WhatsApp's privacy measures.
