The All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leaders strongly criticize India's development claims in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir, highlighting concerns over human rights abuses and political turmoil in the region.

The All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leaders have strongly criticized India's assertions of development and normalcy in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir. They have dismissed these claims as a mere facade, emphasizing that since August 5, 2019, Kashmiris have been stripped of their identity and basic rights by the Hindutva regime.

During a press briefing in Athens, the APHC leaders highlighted the dire situation in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir to Kashmiri and Pakistani diaspora. They denounced India's development assertions as a means to reinforce its oppressive rule, with no tangible benefits for the local population.

The leaders pointed out that India has implemented various measures to solidify its illegal occupation in IIOJK, including altering laws such as the domicile law to grant job opportunities, voting rights, and land in the disputed region. These changes are aimed at reshaping the socio-political landscape of the region.

Furthermore, the APHC leaders raised concerns about India's efforts to alter the religious composition of IIOJK. They highlighted a significant increase in the construction of temples, with plans to build thousands more, indicating a deliberate attempt to change the religious demographics of the region.

Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir has been a region of conflict and contention between India and Pakistan for decades. The revocation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019, by the Indian government led to a significant escalation of tensions in the region, with Kashmiris facing increased restrictions and human rights violations.

The APHC leaders' strong criticism of India's claims of development in Jammu and Kashmir sheds light on the ongoing challenges faced by the Kashmiri population. It underscores the need for international attention and action to address the human rights abuses and political turmoil in the region.
