British Doctor Sentenced for Attempted Murder Plot in Shocking Inheritance Case

This poison caused severe health complications, leading O’Hara to spend several weeks in intensive care and requiring surgery to remove part of his arm to stop the spread of a flesh-eating infection.

Justice Christina Lambert, who presided over the case, described Kwan’s actions as “an audacious plan to murder a man in plain sight.” She emphasized that Kwan’s obsession with money clouded his judgment and led him to commit such a heinous act. The court also revealed that Kwan had a collection of dangerous substances at his home, including arsenic and liquid mercury, along with instructions on how to create the deadly chemical weapon ricin.

O’Hara, who survived the ordeal, expressed that the experience left him “a shell of an individual.” Following the incident, he and Kwan’s mother, Jenny Leung, have since parted ways. The police were able to track down Kwan through surveillance footage, which revealed the elaborate scheme he had orchestrated, including sending fake letters with National Health Service logos and using a vehicle with false license plates.
