EU Delegation Evaluates Saudi Arabia's Anti-Extremism Initiatives

In recent years, the global fight against extremism has gained significant attention, particularly in the Middle East. One such initiative is the Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology, located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Recently, a delegation from the European Union (EU), led by Delphine Pronk, the chair of the EU’s Political and Security Committee, visited the center to review Saudi Arabia's efforts in this vital area. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Mansour Al-Shammari, the center’s secretary-general, who provided insights into the center’s strategies and initiatives aimed at combating extremist ideologies.

During their visit, the EU members were briefed on various topics, including the center’s approach to mitigating the impact of extremist messages.
