Pakistani exhibitors participate in Gulfood Manufacturing 2024, showcasing innovations in food processing and packaging at Dubai World Trade Centre.
The Gulfood Manufacturing 2024 event, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, marks a significant milestone for Pakistan as it showcases the country's food processing and packaging capabilities on an international stage. This year, the event runs from November 5 to November 7 and features a diverse range of exhibitors from around the globe, highlighting the latest innovations in food manufacturing.
On the opening day, the Pakistan Pavilion was inaugurated by Zubair Motiwala, the Chief Executive of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), alongside Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s Envoy to the UAE. This is the first time that Pakistan is participating in the Gulfood Manufacturing event, and the excitement was palpable. Motiwala expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Pakistan is participating in the Gulfood processing for the first time. It’s a wonderful experience and I am immensely pleased that Pakistani exhibitors are here to avail this opportunity for showcasing their packaging and food processing capabilities.”
Under the TDAP umbrella, 21 exhibitors from Pakistan are participating, with an additional eight companies joining independently. These exhibitors are showcasing a variety of products and services, including food ingredients, processing and packaging solutions, printing, labeling, and supply chain solutions tailored for the food and beverage industry. This diverse representation underscores Pakistan's growing role in the global food manufacturing sector.
The Gulfood Manufacturing event is not just a platform for showcasing products; it is a global exhibition that unveils the next era of food manufacturing and processing through digital adoption and innovations. This year, over 1,200 suppliers from more than 60 countries are participating, making it a significant gathering for industry professionals.
During the event, Motiwala, Ambassador Tirmizi, and other officials, including Consul General Hussain Muhammad and Trade Counsellor Ali Zeb Khan, visited the stalls at the Pakistan Pavilion. They engaged in detailed discussions with the exhibitors, providing valuable insights and support. The Commercial Section of the Pakistan Consulate in Dubai played a crucial role in facilitating the participation of Pakistani exhibitors, ensuring that they received all necessary assistance before and during the event.
