The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Austria recently marked a significant milestone in the world of coffee with the launch of the 'Premium Saudi Blend' by Viennese coffee manufacturer Bieder & Maier in collaboration with the Saudi Coffee Company. This unique product aims to blend the rich coffee cultures of Saudi Arabia and Austria, offering a range of flavors from espresso to filter and cold brewing.

CEO of the Saudi Coffee Company, Khalid AbuTheeb, emphasized the cultural significance of this collaboration, stating that the coffee represents their identity and heritage. With support from the Saudi Ministry of Investment, the partnership with Bieder & Maier aims to elevate the local coffee industry by introducing exclusive blends using Saudi coffee beans sourced directly from the Jazan region.

Dr. Margarete Schramboeck, a former Austrian minister and current Aramco digital board member, expressed her admiration for Saudi coffee culture and played a key role in bringing the 'Premium Saudi Blend' to life. Rudi Kobza, founder of Bieder & Maier, highlighted the importance of this collaboration in bridging Saudi heritage with Viennese coffee traditions.

Both Viennese coffee house culture and Saudi Khawlani Arabica beans have been recognized as intangible world heritage by UNESCO, underscoring the cultural significance of this partnership. The project will soon see the opening of coffee houses in Saudi Arabia, further promoting the exchange of coffee traditions between the two countries.
