Winter Demand Initiative Introduces Incremental Tariff for Electricity Consumers

The Ministry of Energy has stated that the goal of this initiative is to promote electricity usage during the winter without relying on government subsidies. However, NEPRA has expressed concerns that this increased consumption could lead to fuel charges exceeding Rs26 per unit, which may further strain consumers' budgets.
