KARACHI: The World Culture Festival, a vibrant celebration of global arts and traditions, is currently captivating audiences at the Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP) in Karachi. This festival, which showcases the rich cultural diversity of various nations, has become a significant event for both locals and international artists. On the ninth day of this grand festival, the Italian Nina Theatre Puppet Company returned for a second performance, enchanting children and families alike with their delightful puppet show.
The show, titled "Put Your Heart Into It" ("Mettici il cuore" in Italian), provided a magical experience for Karachiites. Nina, a skilled puppeteer and narrative theatre artist, used her marionettes to create heartwarming moments that resonated with the young audience. Among the attendees was the Italian Consul General, Danilo Giurdanella, who watched the show with evident joy. "I travel around the world, sharing emotions like friendship and love through my stories. Performing for children has been a dream of mine since childhood. The people of Karachi are incredibly loving, and I felt great performing here," she added, showcasing her deep connection with the audience.
The festival also featured a performance by French artist Alien Voyagers, who entertained students and attendees outside the hall with his unique humor and style. The World Culture Festival, which spans 35 days, includes over 450 artists from 40 different countries, and it will continue until November 2 at the ACP. With media partners like Geo and Jang group supporting the event, the festival promises to be a memorable experience for all.
