Ryan Gosling reveals how fatherhood has influenced his career choices, leading him to prioritize roles that align with his family's well-being and values.

Ryan Gosling, known for his diverse roles in Hollywood, has recently revealed a significant shift in his career choices influenced by his family. Despite his past portrayals of characters like Ken from Barbie and Colt Seavers from The Fall Guy, Gosling has decided to steer clear of dark roles moving forward.

In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, Gosling explained his decision, stating, 'I don’t really take roles that are going to put me in some kind of dark place.' He emphasized that his family plays a crucial role in his career decisions, saying, 'The decisions I make, I make them with Eva, and we make them with our family in mind first.'

Gosling pointed out that the turning point came around the time he starred in La La Land. He shared, 'I think La La Land was the first. It was sort of like, oh, this will be fun for them too, because even though they’re not coming to set, we’re practicing piano every day or we’re dancing or we’re singing.'

Reflecting on the impact of fatherhood on his choices, Gosling admitted, 'I think it’s happened when I had kids really, you start to be way more conscious of everything you do and everything you’ve ever done and everything you will do if you get a chance to do it.'

With this newfound perspective, Ryan Gosling is prioritizing roles that align with his family's well-being and values, marking a significant shift in his career trajectory.
