Stringent security measures in Karachi for Eidul Azha celebrations, with focus on police deployment, traffic management, and public safety.

As the city prepares to celebrate Eidul Azha, stringent security arrangements have been made to ensure the safety of citizens during this festive period. Approximately 12,781 police officers have been deployed across Karachi, with specific focus on the East, South, and West Zones. Additional IGP Karachi Imran Yaqoob Minhas is overseeing the deployment, which includes 5,600 officers in the East Zone, 3,656 in the South Zone, and 3,525 in the West Zone. Moreover, around 2,170 officers will be stationed at collection points for sacrificial animal hides to maintain order and security.

In addition to securing Eidul Azha prayers, heightened security measures have been extended to major shopping centers, markets, and other crowded areas in the city. This proactive approach aims to safeguard public safety and prevent any untoward incidents during the festive season. The traffic police have also been instructed to efficiently manage traffic flow across Karachi to ensure smooth movement and minimize congestion.
