Justice Kayani of Islamabad High Court seeks intelligence reports to locate missing citizen Mr Khursheed from Neelum Valley, demonstrating commitment to justice.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has taken a significant step in the case of a missing citizen, Mr Khursheed from Neelum Valley. Mr Khursheed disappeared on June 7 after visiting the G-13 sector of Islamabad and failing to return home. Concerned about the lack of progress in locating him, his family sought legal intervention.
During the court proceedings, the petitioner's lawyer highlighted that despite filing a complaint with the local police, Mr Khursheed remained untraceable. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) confirmed that they did not have any information about Mr Khursheed's whereabouts.
Justice Kayani, understanding the gravity of the situation, requested reports from the sector commanders of Inter-Services Intelligence and Military Intelligence deployed in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. These reports are expected to shed light on the missing individual's location and circumstances. The Ministry of Defence has been given additional time to compile and submit these crucial reports. The next hearing, scheduled for June 24, will likely provide more insights into this mysterious disappearance.
The efforts of Justice Kayani and the Islamabad High Court to uncover the truth behind Mr Khursheed's disappearance demonstrate a commitment to upholding justice and ensuring the safety of all citizens. By involving multiple intelligence agencies and closely monitoring the case, the court aims to bring closure to the concerned family and the community at large.
