The Sindh government plans to establish 300 model schools to modernize education, focusing on quality enhancement, public-private partnerships, and community involvement.

The Sindh government has unveiled an ambitious plan to introduce 300 model schools across the region, aiming to revolutionize the traditional education system. This initiative was announced during the inaugural meeting of the Advisory Board of the Model School Support Unit, under the leadership of Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah. The primary focus of the meeting was to enhance the quality of education and bring about modernization in the existing system.

Minister Shah emphasized the importance of implementing a contemporary management system and disclosed plans to establish model schools in every taluka. Each area will have two model schools, one for boys and one for girls. The selection process for these schools is set to be finalized by July 25, with the program scheduled to kick off in the upcoming academic year.

The selected model schools will be equipped with modern facilities including sports grounds, libraries, science, and IT labs. Minister Shah stressed the significance of fostering public-private partnerships and community involvement in the operation of these schools. The ultimate goal is to create a benchmark education system that can be emulated by other educational institutions, thereby transforming the conventional education landscape in Sindh.

Interviews for the appointment of principals for the designated model schools are slated to be conducted by July 20. The meeting was attended by Secretary School Education Sindh Zahid Ali Abbasi, STEDA Chairman Syed Rasool Bakhsh Shah, and other members of the advisory board.

The establishment of 300 model schools in Sindh marks a significant step towards modernizing the education sector and improving the quality of learning opportunities for students. With a strong emphasis on innovation, collaboration, and community engagement, the government's initiative is poised to bring about a positive transformation in the region's educational landscape.
