Karachi Tragedy: Family Devastated by Fatal Collision

An unfortunate incident unfolded near Mauripur Truck Adda in Karachi, resulting in a devastating collision between a speeding vehicle and a trailer truck. The aftermath of this tragic event led to the loss of seven lives and left 30 individuals injured. Among the casualties were three children, one teenager, and three women who were on a picnic excursion in the overturned bus. The primary cause of the accident was determined to be the driver's inability to maintain control of the vehicle due to overspeeding.

Following the collision, the deceased and injured were promptly transported to Civil Hospital Karachi for necessary medical attention. Subsequently, the bodies were moved to the Sohrab Goth mortuary for identification purposes. The victims, all belonging to the same family residing in Azizabad’s Bhangoria Goth area, were identified as Sughra, Saadia, an unidentified woman, Sakina, Zeenat, Kinza, and Abdul Qadeer.

Law enforcement authorities took swift action by seizing the trailer and bus involved in the tragic incident. Efforts are currently underway to locate and apprehend the driver of the trailer who absconded from the scene. The Karachi commissioner and police have been called upon to provide detailed information to higher authorities. A relative of the victims, Mohammad Bashir, revealed that approximately 40 to 45 individuals were onboard the ill-fated vehicle. He urged the Sindh Chief Minister to ensure that the injured receive adequate treatment at a private hospital.

Bashir stressed the importance of conducting a thorough investigation to hold the responsible party accountable for this heart-wrenching event.
