Minister Bilal Yasin Cracks Down on Flour Prices

Punjab's Food Minister, Bilal Yasin, recently led an inspection of flour prices in Lahore on a public holiday. The minister visited various markets in the city, including Mozang Road, Shadman Market, and Gulberg, to ensure fair pricing for consumers.

During the inspection, Minister Bilal Yasin took decisive action against two major supermarkets for failing to display flour prices clearly. Penalties and warnings were issued to these stores to promote transparency in pricing. Yasin emphasized the importance of all stores and flour dealers communicating prices effectively to customers.

In a bid to enforce these measures rigorously, the food department has canceled all officials' leaves to maintain continuous monitoring and enforcement. Severe penalties await stores and dealers engaging in price manipulation, with strict actions promised in areas where overpricing is identified.

Guided by Punjab's Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, the government is committed to ensuring affordable flour for all, especially the economically disadvantaged. Any officer or employee found violating these regulations will face consequences.
