The establishment of Pakistan Digital City in Haripur marks a significant technological transformation, aiming to boost IT startups, exports, and economic growth through strategic collaborations and tax incentives.

Pakistan is on the brink of a significant technological transformation with the establishment of its first-ever 'Pakistan Digital City' in Haripur. This groundbreaking initiative is a collaborative effort led by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA), and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB). Spanning across 11 acres of land, the digital city is set to be fully operational by 2026, with an impressive investment of Rs 8 billion.

The project has already completed approximately 30% of its development, showcasing the unwavering commitment of the stakeholders involved. Once operational, 'Pakistan Digital City' aims to become a specialized technology zone, accommodating up to 4,000 IT startups and projecting a substantial increase in IT exports by up to $50 million. This strategic move includes a decade-long tax exemption for all entities within the zone, fostering economic growth and job creation.

With over 50% of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's population under 30 and 6,000 IT graduates entering the workforce annually, the digital city is poised to leverage the region's youthful talent pool. This visionary project not only signifies Pakistan's ambition to become a tech hub but also underscores Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's dedication to technological advancement and economic prosperity.
