The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) postponed its power show in Tarnol due to security concerns after the NOC cancellation by the Islamabad administration. Leaders Omar Ayub Khan and Barrister Gohar Khan announced the rally's postponement and filed a petition against the authorities.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had planned a power show in Islamabad's Tarnol at 6pm today, but it has been postponed. This decision came after the district administration canceled the no-objection certificate (NOC) for the event due to security concerns.

Earlier this week, the PTI had requested the NOC from the Islamabad High Court, which was initially believed to have been granted. However, the Islamabad administration later revoked the NOC, leading to the postponement of the political gathering.

Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Omar Ayub Khan, initially wanted to proceed with the rally but later announced its postponement during a press conference alongside PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan. Ayub mentioned plans for future rallies in different cities and cautioned against escalating the situation towards mass agitation.

Barrister Gohar Khan expressed concerns over the recent arrests of PTI workers and criticized what he described as state brutality. The party has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court, seeking contempt proceedings against the district administration and police for impeding the rally. The petition alleged harassment of PTI workers and denounced the cancellation of the NOC as politically motivated.

The postponement of the PTI's power show in Tarnol highlights the ongoing tensions between the party and the Islamabad administration. The decision to cancel the NOC has sparked controversy, with the PTI accusing the authorities of political bias. As the situation unfolds, the PTI remains determined to continue its political activities while navigating the challenges posed by the current circumstances.
