Punjab Police arrest two operatives linked to Canada-based gangster Arsh Dalla, disrupting organized crime and illegal arms smuggling in the region.

In recent developments, the Punjab Police have made significant strides in combating organized crime linked to international gangs. The arrest of two operatives associated with the notorious Canada-based gangster Arsh Dalla marks a crucial step in addressing the rising tide of violence and criminal activities in the region. This operation not only highlights the ongoing challenges faced by law enforcement but also underscores the importance of international cooperation in tackling crime that transcends borders.

On November 10, Punjab's Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav announced the apprehension of two key suspects involved in the murder of Gurpreet Singh Hari Nau in Faridkot. The investigation revealed that these individuals were also responsible for the recent killing of Jaswant Singh Gill in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, under the direct orders of Dalla. Their swift return to Punjab after committing these heinous acts raised alarms, prompting police action that ultimately led to their capture near Kharar.

In a parallel operation, the Counter Intelligence (CI) unit in Amritsar dealt a significant blow to illegal arms smuggling networks by arresting two operatives linked to Portugal-based gangster Manpreet Singh, also known as Mannu Ghanshampuria. The suspects, identified as Aditya Kapoor and Ravinder Singh, were found in possession of multiple firearms, including a sophisticated 9MM Glock pistol and two foreign-made pistols. This operation not only highlights the ongoing battle against gun violence but also reveals the intricate web of connections between local criminals and their international counterparts.

DGP Yadav emphasized that these crime syndicates are engaged in a fierce rivalry, particularly with the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria organized crime group. The police have uncovered evidence suggesting that the arrested individuals were part of a larger conspiracy orchestrated by US-based criminals, indicating a troubling trend of cross-border crime that poses a significant threat to public safety.

As investigations continue, authorities are working diligently to establish the full extent of these criminal networks and their operations. The registration of an FIR under the Arms Act at the State Special Operations Cell in Amritsar is a critical step in holding these criminals accountable and preventing further violence.

The recent arrests by Punjab Police serve as a reminder of the persistent challenges posed by organized crime and the importance of proactive law enforcement measures. As communities grapple with the implications of such violence, it is crucial for citizens to remain vigilant and support efforts aimed at fostering a safer environment. The fight against crime is ongoing, and with continued collaboration between local and international agencies, there is hope for a more secure future.
