The Mamta Program in collaboration with the World Bank aims to improve maternal and child health in Sindh by enrolling women in PPHI centers and promoting hospital deliveries.

The 'Mamta Program' launched by the Sindh government in collaboration with the World Bank is making significant strides in enhancing maternal and child health in the region. Under this initiative, 14,448 women have already been enrolled at 77 PPHI centers in district Sanghar. This program is designed to provide financial assistance for medical examinations and plans to extend these services to benefit over 133,000 women in the district. The ultimate goal of the program is to encourage hospital deliveries for 40% of expectant mothers in the province, ultimately leading to better health outcomes for both mothers and children.

During a recent coordination committee meeting led by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Imran ul Hassan Khowaja, it was emphasized that the Mamta Program will have a positive impact on a significant number of pregnant women in the region. The meeting was attended by key officials including District Manager PPHI Syed Haider Shah, Assistant Director Local Government Jamshed Qaimkhani, Assistant Director NADRA Raza Ali, and Additional District Health Officer Dr. Vishnu Mal.

The Mamta Program stands as a beacon of hope for improving maternal and child health in Sindh. With its focus on providing essential medical services and promoting hospital deliveries, this initiative is set to positively impact the lives of thousands of women and children in the region.
