SSP Imran Qureshi and DSP Tariq Bajari acquitted again

In a recent development, an additional district and sessions judge in Karachi's Orangi Town acquitted SSP Imran Qureshi, DSP Tariq Bajari, and other accused in a robbery case. The court granted the acquittal plea after the prosecution failed to provide evidence linking the accused to the alleged robbery of approximately Rs15 million from Shakirullah's residence. The plaintiff also submitted a no-objection to the acquittal plea, mentioning a written request not to pursue the case against the accused.

This is not the first time SSP Imran Qureshi and DSP Tariq Bajari have been cleared of such allegations. In a previous case from December 2023, the two officers were also acquitted of involvement in a robbery case at a businessman's house in Orangi Town. The interim challan in that case stated a lack of evidence connecting them to the alleged robbery.
