Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Municipal Committee Officials in Faisalabad

On June 13, 2024, a tragic incident unfolded in Faisalabad, Pakistan, as four officials from the Municipal Committee in Dijkot met with a devastating accident while performing maintenance work on a sewerage line.

The unfortunate event took place when the ground beneath the officials collapsed while they were cleaning a disposal chamber, leading to a fatal fall into the chamber. The victims, identified as Shafique, the watchman, Asgar, the electrician, Haji Burhan, and Arsalan, tragically lost their lives instantly. Another rescue official, Nasir, also suffered during the incident and required immediate medical attention.

Following the accident, the rescue team acted swiftly, recovering the bodies of the deceased officials from the disposal chamber. The bodies were then transferred to a medical facility for further procedures.

In response to the heartbreaking occurrence, RPO Dr. Muhammad Abid Khan promptly intervened, acknowledging the gravity of the situation and issuing necessary directives to address the matter.
