A tragic road accident in Kot Addu results in the death of four family members, prompting police investigation into the high-speed collision.
In a tragic incident that underscores the dangers of reckless driving, four individuals, including a child, lost their lives in a road accident near Sandheela Chowk at Kot Addu on Sunday. The victims were part of a family traveling in a rickshaw from Vehari to Jannu village when a car, reportedly driven at high speed, collided with their three-wheeler on Head Taunsa Road.
The deceased have been identified as rickshaw driver Riaz Hussain, Fozia Batool (wife of Muhammad Ali), Shereen Akhtar (wife of Riaz Hussain), and their young son, Talal (son of Muhammad Ali). Eyewitnesses reported that the impact was devastating, leading to immediate fatalities at the scene. Local police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident, aiming to hold accountable those responsible for this heartbreaking loss.
In a separate incident, a man suffered a fatal heart attack while at the Daira Deen Pannah police station. Ajmal Channar had arrived to assist another individual involved in a land dispute investigation when he suddenly collapsed. Authorities at the police station have ordered an inquiry to understand the events leading up to his untimely death.
Additionally, a shopkeeper in Khanpur Bagga Sher was injured during a robbery attempt. Abdul Sattar was attacked by two robbers who attempted to snatch Rs 100,000 from him. When he resisted, the robbers shot him before fleeing the scene with the money. The police are actively investigating this incident to apprehend the culprits.
