KARACHI: Dr. Zakir Naik, a prominent religious scholar, is set to embark on a significant 10-day visit to Karachi starting tomorrow. This visit marks an important occasion as Dr. Naik, who has gained international recognition for his lectures and teachings, will engage in various activities aimed at fostering interfaith dialogue and religious understanding.

Upon his arrival, Dr. Naik will be warmly welcomed at the airport by notable figures including Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, and Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab. The Special Security Unit (SSU) of the Sindh Police has been assigned to ensure the safety and security of the esteemed guest during his stay.

Dr. Naik, who has been residing in Malaysia since leaving India in 2016, is expected to meet with several leading religious scholars in Pakistan. These include Mufti Taqi Usmani, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, and Mufti Abdul Rahim, among others. Following his engagements in Karachi, Dr. Naik will hold private meetings from October 7 to 10 before departing for Lahore on October 11.
